NFL's Best Team?

PghUSA

Recommended Posts

wow, are u serious? Your 70's teams with bradshaw had to use steroids to win championships. Dallas is the best hands down. No team carries the prestige as the Dallas Cowboys do. Americas Team. Most watched team week in and week out and fans through out the whoooooole country.

I dont think the cowboys are any longer Americas team. I don't think its because other teams have caught them in popularity, I just think football has to much parity for a true dominate team anymore.

Watch how the stations go crazy for a Cowboys Game. CBS shows AFC games but if they get just one chance to shoe a AFC team playing the Cowboys, they spend most there resources trying to get the game. Year in and year out the Dallas Cowboys are the most watched team in the NFL. So the Americas Team label is still there.

I can agree with that, but I think it is very subjective, this year I think we can say America's team may be Green Bay, last year it was New Orleans. The NFL has so much parity that the HOT team really becomes America's team for that year.

Todays NFL has so many band wagon fans. Allot of the youth younger then me arnt raised like i was. But then again i started watching the Cowboys during the Super Bowl years of the 90's. I think that what we see is that The Cowboys, Steelers, 49ers and Packers always have a large fan showing anywhere they go in the country.

It is comparable to Red Sox/Yankees fans in baseball. They travel well and are the most well known teams. Football has the big 4 in a sense. I am a patriots fan, but I don't think they will ever get there.

So does becoming the first team to ever go an undefeated 16-0 in the regular season make the Patriots the best team?

Hard for a life-long Dolphins fan to admit, but the Pats are the best team in the league by far, and one of the best ever. We'll see what they're really made of in the playoffs.

--->updated with playoff teams and all getting their 1 point for making the playoffs. No real movement. We could see some big jumps with whoever wins teh superbowl this year.

At least on paper, you have to consider the Pats the front runner. But remember that they squeaked by the Colts, and have had a hard time with tenacious teams, so they could conceivably lose in the AFC playoffs. But I don't think we'll see an NFC team beat them in the Super Bowl.

The Packers looked impressive scoring 42 points in the snow vs. the Seahawks!

The Colts caught a break just before the half; the Chargers 89 yard interception was called back due to a questionable holding call. Colts still lead 10-7 at the half. The Patriots await the winner.

Can the Cowboys hold-off the NYGiants for a third time???

Oops :)

It's crazy to see that the Carolina Panthers (13 seasons) have already gone farther in the playoffs than the Saints, Lions and Cardinals (123 seasons) combined.

The Lions are going to win it all in 2008/09 now that the curse of Bobby Layne has run its course.

According to football legend, Layne -- the Lions' Hall of Fame quarterback -- was angry about being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1958 and put a curse on the Lions. Although no documentation was found to support it, Layne supposedly said the Lions "would not win for 50 years."

I feel the same way about the Cards every year and they end up stinking it up. I think the powers to be will stay around and maybe a Cleveland will pop up every now and then.
