Oops....must not have been sufficiently historical to save it.

It would be a shame if it was torn down for parking especially when there is a parking garage right across the street.In that area of downtown we should be getting rid of all suface lots, not creating more.

The options downtown are still severely lacking, even considering the new Harris Teeter bookends (Augusta and North Pointe). More and more people who live downtown are wanting to live a walkable lifestyle. The small Publix DT (and eventually the North Pointe HT) is the only grocery that currently supports that.

Trader Joe's, or the like, as a participant in the BB&T redevelopment is what I am hoping for.
