Yep . While 275k would set me up for early retirement, I was trying to figure out what you could get for it on a construction project; put in some new light bulbs? A new sign? Replace some door bells?

Probably not enough to replace toilet seats  :tw_grimace:

Not sure which thread to put this under, but has there ever been any plans for this circled area? I feel like that's pretty hot real estate in Gvl that's not really being used. Would it be because of property acquisitions?

The building on site was sold to Larkin’s I believe. The owners refuse to sell the lot. They like the parking revenue money. :( With property values going up downtown and major developments on the other three corners, I feel like it’s only a matter of time though before a sale occurs.

Agreed. After the Camperdown development gets done the value here will have to be at a premium. Wasn't there a proposal for about a ten story condo building on this site about ten years ago just before the recession? There was a thread for it on here back then.

A large * firm is apparently planning to open a new office in Greenville sometime soon.  I heard downtown could be the location.  Perhaps this will be one of the "several [...] announcements of large companies that will be in the Camperdown office building" coming soon? (source of quote)

*I am not at liberty to specify the industry

An update on this:  Verdae is the likely location.  An announcement should come before next summer.  Remember the fairly new class A office space recently vacated after ch2m was acquired by Jacobs?  Just an educated guess... :whistling:

I was really hoping they would go downtown but it’s still good to see office space getting filled along with new jobs. Wonder if they will take up the entire building.

I am confident we will hear new announcements for downtown, considering the new office space coming soon and the imminent BOA building vacancies.

I have always thought it would be the perfect place for a new City Hall.

Also, about 10 years ago (pre-Obama crash), wasn't there a plan to build a condo building on the site?
