Businesses opening this week

Just wanted to inform you all about the new businesses opening up in the next week downtown. On Monday (11/15) Ah! Moore international Cafe (Herman Moore's restaurant) is opening up in Greektown. Au Bon Pain is to open in C-mart on Saturday morning, and a mens clothing store called "Hot Sams Quality Clothier" will have it's opening next Monday (11/22) in the Compuware parking deck.

Great news! Now if we could just land a small downtown grocery store. It defeats the purpose of living downtown when you have to drive way out into the suburbs to get even the most basic things. Where is the nearest grocery store to downtown anyway?

There's one on Washington blvd called "Trolley plaza". It's not great, but you could get your essentials there.

Ahh...I forgot about that place. Probably because it is quite possibly the worst grocery store I've seen. LOL.

Agreed, that place doesn't exactly look too clean. If I lived downtown, I'd probably justl drive down Jefferson to the Farmer Jack.
