Well the comparisons to NY's Rockefeller Center were a bit premature as that is a pretty tacky looking rink with all those adverts pasted on that white washed plywood. Even the one in Myrtle Beach looks better.

Thing is ugly as hell.

This is really creating buzz. I have a colleague who rarely goes downtown, and plans to bring her kids to this scating rink and make an afternoon downtown trip out of it.

I think the more small-scale attractions we can have downtown, the better chances we'll bring many different in spending money from the suburbs.
