And i heard at the Friday Night "Downtown Getdown" all the vendors were giving free meals to people with miss/Luisiana ID's. I hope alot of folks got out there tonight, to get thier minds off of the troubles and enjoy a cool night of fun in the city! I would hate for people to leave with a bad impression of us. this will help.

You know I think its so cool that these things that we NORMALLY do in Tallahassee are being seen as welcome surprises for our Hurricane Visitors. I was downtown today (without my camera :( ) but I wish I could have captured the looks on some of these peoples faces... between Harry's and the vendors, and the beads, and the music, and the socialization these people seemed to feel at home. I heard one lady say she didn't expect to be enjoying herself at "a time like this". That made me feel so good... that Tallahassee could host such and event and have it go over so well for people who are used to having such things most all of the time.

I expect Harry's is doing quite well with all of the New Orleans/Louisiana people around.

Yea taurenJ!!! it's amazing how u and ironchapman made these many posts in less than a year.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The same could be said for a Virginia forumer named "rusthebuss". He has made over 3000 and joined early in February of this year.

But thanks anyways for the compliment.:lol::D
