Going off on a tangent, I'm Christian and it irks me when people say Happy Holidays, it's like they are totally ignorant to the reason why Christmas is in existence.

I was most distrubed at the fact that they've come up with all of these little twist words for Christmas like "Christmahaunakwanza" and similar words. The word is CHRISTMAS, and Jesus is the reason for the holiday people. It was such a challenge finding symbols throughout the community to photograph for Picture of the Day because very few public places did lights this year ( I suppose because of the energy crisis) and the Chruches were the biggest disappointment, even on Christmas eve dark as night, I only saw ONE church of the many many I passed with a Nativity scene, and that church didn't have a baby Jesus. I was heart broken because today's picture fo the day was supossed to be the scene from the manger.

Ditto. Christian Heritage, the church I go to had a Christmas production a couple weeks ago (Saturday & Sunday) and it was awesome.

No, the decorations were inside the church. Yep, that's the church. You can pretty much see CHC from across the street.

Hmm... ok. Smart church leadership you have. I'm sure the cashflow is good for your church now.

Yep it sure is, especially since after it first opened it's paying for itself. Meaning, the rest of the shops in Sharer plaza are paying our rent.

When it was first opened, the shops in the area agreed to pay the church's mortgage. The church cost $14.5 million to build.

Yep. When Waccamaw closed up shop, the contractors cleaned house and had to do architectural designs for where the main sanctuary is, administrative office, restaurant, youth room, etc. You should come one time, just to get a glimpse of the inside.

Maybe I should. I know alot of people that go to that church, including our very own Cityboy05. I might have to peek in when I get a chance.
