As you may know Freman Hendrix is running for mayor. He is a favored choice among many. I decided to email him. Lets add to this discussion.

Hello Mr.Freman,

I would like to know how you stand on Detroit's historic buildings and

preservation. How do you feel on thsi issue? I feel we should preserve

all our gems of Detroit and redevelop them for future use. The

architecture is amazing and it's why I love the city.

Take for example what side you are on with the Statler hotel?

I have been trying to save it ever sicne the HDC issues the OK to demolish it.

I just spent quite a bit of time looking through his website and I must say that I am very impressed by Freman! He knows what it takes and how to make Detroit a great city again. I only wish we could impeach Kewayme and get him in now...... Who else is running against him? Is he favored by a lot? I wish I could vote for Detroit mayor and only hope the city is smart enough to elect this man. Now if we could just get LBP out of office.....

Apparently Freman is going to officially announce that he's running this week.

Freman is the right person for the job. This is the type of mayor Detroit needs...not some hip hop mayor, but a person who will make the tough decisions and get the job done.
