Canada's Supreme Court Allows Same-Sex Marriage

Canada's highest court said Thursday the government can redefine marriage to include same-sex couples, but it added that religious officials cannot be forced to perform unions against their beliefs.

The ruling brings to the final stages a long, bitter fight over whether gays and lesbians should be allowed to marry in Canada.

This is definitely an ideal I wish would move south. I'm glad to hear Canada has now become the third country to allow gay marriage... or at least on it's way. Although, that by itself shows how the majority of the world still does not have equality.

Great news! I was considering immigrating to Canada once I finish college, and this is yet another reason to go.

It's about time! I may consider immigrating to Canada, but I will have to go through a whole bunch of trouble to get a Canadian architecture license. Let's just say that that is easier said than done!
