Interesting.

The WalMart connection is a major drawback. If I didn't already have two PCs (in addition to my Mac), I might be in the market for a cheap laptop like this. I'm not sure I'd go for that flavour of Linux though, and it should be bundled with Firefox/Thunderbird, not just Mozilla. But for the price... getting my own Linux flavour on it, and downloading Firefox/Thunderbird aren't really a terrible burden.

It's something I would only use for web surfing and word processing and other basic functions though.

I read about this line error somewhere. It was corrected soon after to read G4. It probably has to do with a minor speed boost in the G4 Powerbooks instead of a G5 powered machine.
