the context in urban design

I have to write something about the role of context in urban design.

Anyone can give me some advice about the outline?

What do you mean by "the context of urban design? "

I need to have some casestudies where urban designers implemted successfull in term of local context (culture, custom, architecture style), global context (global warming, fossil fuel and so on), market context and regulartory context. It is better to be analysesed particularly each aspect.

That sounds like a paper that is going to be full of filler stuff and good ol' B/S. I would talk about everything you just said with about 3 or 4 different studies. You can either talk about the studies individually or talk about each type of context for each building. Thats a tough thing to write about. Good luck!

It might be interesting to take a small city, two medium-sized cities, a large one, and compare/contrast. You could supplement this with a compare/contrast of two of the same sized city and use this data to explain variations in the first set.

I'd like to know how this turns out.
