gohon444 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2004 Anybody ever consider why coke has not built a trophy tower in Atlanta? I'm guessing that they dont have a lot of employees based here and i know that now is not the time for more office space in Atlanta. it is just strange that during the mass construction phases of the 80's and 90's that they did not build something more worthy for their global capital and their world wide success. just a thought
Neo 199 Report post Posted December 23, 2004 I've wondered the same, though, Pepsi doesn't have a signature tower either...
gohon444 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2004 Yeah i just thought that they would have built one better than the one they had well maybe they are preparing for it in the far far future. It just would make since being that they are one of the most known brands in the world.
Spartan 1351 Report post Posted December 28, 2004 That is a good point. I heard somewhere that "Coke" is the one word that is understood by most people around the world. You'd think a company iwth that mcuh brand recognition would have a substantial tower, plus it would out-do Pepsi by doing that
paulblackgsx 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Coke has had plans several times for a signature tower, as recently as the mid 90s. However, poor performance at the company has always derailed the plans. Coke, unforunately, is in a fairly tapped out market, so sustaining growth and strong numbers has been difficult. This has derailed most of their plans for an trophy tower.
