19 renderings of Greensboro's future DT ballpark

These are pretty good polygon renderings. They're not going to show the detail that we'll see in the actual stadium but they give sort of a feel what the stadium will be like.

The "permanent" seating capacity looks kind of small however, the seating will expand beyond 8,000 permanant seats. The current aging War Memorial has 7,000 seats.

The addition of having an upper deck with skyboxes at the new stadium will be great. The skyboxes will help generate alot of revenue for the team and the non-profit that will own the stadium. Those profits will go towards other community development projects. Greensboro will have the best skyline view from a ballpark in the Carolinas, at least until Winston-Salem build theirs. Other interesting qwerks include a walking path around the perimeter of the stadium for recreation. Ever since the stadium backers won the vote on October 7th, developers have flooding Downtown Greensboro, Inc. with calls about their interest to develop all around the stadium. I saw the comprehensive plan for the Bellemeade neighborhood (now downtown ballpark district) and it great. There will be shops, restaurants, condos and unique townhomes that you usually find in large urban northern cities. A school and greenway will be built near the stadium as well as office space. I hear that condos will be built next to the stadium overlooking the playing field. If the ACC consider building its hall of fame and museum downtown, planners say they may want to build it near the ballpark. Of course if they don't build it downtown, it would most likely be built onto the coliseum.
