New Lerkendal Stadium

Trondheim - Norway

Lerkendal Stadium is the homefield for the greatest Norwegian football team, Rosenborg. This stadium was reconstructed in 2001-2003, but will soon be reconstructed yet another time. But this is not going to be any full scale reconstruction. A gigantic roof will be built uppon the stadium, which they can remove during summers. With this roof they will be able to play football even in mid winter with -30c and 1m snow outside the stadium. The cost of such a roof is estimated to be around 100 million NOK. But this is still planns which has not been approved, but the development will continue through 2005.

Skyscraper for Drammen

Drammen - Buskerud

A 80m, 26 floor tall hotel has been proposed in Drammen this week. The hotel will be located in what is to be the most perfect location for such a tall tower in Drammen, on a small island in the middel of the river. The hotel will contain 220 rooms and a congress hall with 450 seats. It will also become the second tallest hotel in Norway, after Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel in Oslo which is 37 meter taller.

And both the population in Drammen and the politics is very positive to this project, and is agree that the location is perfect for a tall building. The area today is very messy with large highways and terrible concrete silos. They want to see a tall building which can make this area look much better.

^ Yeah, its not exactly the pretties one! Bergen has actually quite many high-rise buildings, most if residential commieblocks though. All of them would need a reconstruction, and also the City Hall, which is a grey concrete box, and is situated in downtown.
