Gunfire and Violence Mar MLK Celebration

Well this is sad. Gunfire and violence erupt at the MLK celebration in Savannah, GA. I think it is shameful that the very community who take such offense at the confederate flag are completely silent about this kind of behavior. Where is the NAACP when you really need them?

Wonder why you never see this at the Savannah St. Patrick's Day celebration.

While it is sad that this happened on a civil rights holiday, I don't understand why people think that MLK Jr. Day is any different from other days. I guaruntee you that 365 days out of the year, a fight is going on somewhere in our violent nation. As if this holiday was going to end the violence? I bet there were even fights on 9/11.

But still, it is tragic, on any day.
