As much as like Kansas City, I really have not visited the area or seen pictures as in depth as those. Thank you for the great tour and someday soon, I hope to visit the area.

Its the KCTV5 Tower, 1042ft, just 10-20ft shorter than the Chrysler Building. And just b4 some additions on the Eiffel Tower, it was taller than the Eiffel Tower too (for maybe 1 or 2 decades)

To it's right, that tall light beam is the "Spire of Light" originally envisioned by Frank Lloyd Wright, and built in the 90s, about 50 years after he envisioned it. It goes up 3 miles into the sky. (or over 16,000ft above sea level)

Here is the progress of the Power and Light District as of 1/23/05...

The Power & Light District is already 70% leased and construction hasn't even gotten close to starting!

The photos above were taken from the Power and Light Tower, the tower to the far left of the photo...

The Power and Light District is really coming along. I have been following this in the older threads about projects in KC. I can't wait to see the final product.

Loughlin, I suggest coming in late 2007 or spring/summer 2008. Most everything will be completed by then and downtown will have nearly 30,000 people living there by that time.
