Finally getting a chance to copy a bunch of pics over from my phone.  In and around the North Hills area from the past few weeks.  The back parking deck is mostly gone, and the JCPenney building will be gone very soon as well.  Midtown exchange is still in the grading stage.  New senior apartment tower is going vertical.

The Walter apartment tower has one more floor to go and I will take some photos this week.

I counted 33 floors at the Walter Tower in North Hills today so I would say this is topped out.  Blocked off in the original North Hills for the new Restoration Hardware store and office building on the JC Penney site.   New highrise tower starting to rise at the Cardinal at North Hills retirement community.   18 stories to rise.

Midtown Exchange site on Wednesday before the rains came.   Lots of infrastructure and site prep work being done.

Cruising through North Hills today after the rain.  The parking deck is gone (the part that will be redeveloped anyway) and it can't be much longer before JCPenney comes down as well.  The Walter really getting up there, could barely get it in one frame on my phone.

First time driving down Atlantic Ave in a minute.  I think this is the Iron Works project?  Across from the Whitaker Mill intersection.  Hard to keep track of everything going on when everything gets lumped into the same thread lol, definitely need to get by here a bit more regularly.

Yes that is Raleigh Iron Works and it is looking good of course the main buildings are renovations and the apartments will be new builds.

Not sure if the renderings were ever posted for Iron Works.  You can see the double gable buildings in my pics. 

Apparently the parcel to the south of this project has submitted a rezoning request for 20 stories.

Thanks for posting this video. I like the last real shot, where the drone is descending. The horizon reflected in the building matches the one behind the building.

I still don't understand why there isn't a restaurant and/or bar in this entire complex on a high level where you can see downtown.

thats a great idea maybe in one of the newer office buildings they could do that.

8/2/21 we are on floor 35 with just the ornamental top to go.

JCPenney demo has begun!  Already mostly down to just framing.

some fog this morning and you could not even clearly see the top of the 33 story Walter apartment tower at North Hills.

Iron Works update as well as around the corner at East End Market.

The JCPenney is pretty much completely gone, along with part of the parking deck.  Crane up at Iron Works as well.

this Raleigh Iron Works is one of the most exciting projects in the Triangle along with North Hills expansion and Midtown Exchange.
