Why offer this opinion? It's not constructive, and it's not guiding the conversation further. All it's doing is trolling. Why not say something like: "Midtown is going to attract tenants from downtown because of the great design and retail amenities"

Stop with the bloviating

It's my opinion.  Why do you care?

Because it's trolling. You just said that 1 sentence, out of nowhere. Offered no explanation or constructive criticism, just made a random "controversial" comment that is clearly meant to stir people up and get a reaction.

My opinion is that you're a salty Charlotte booster who feels the need to backhandedly insult Raleigh/the Triangle in order to make yourself believe Charlotte is better. Just my opinion though. :)

Is the plan to build and relocate Ruths Chris to a larger space?

Not just your opinion. It's a fact. I confronted this troll months ago about the same behavior. I see this crap from Charlotte boosters often on various forums.

There's a reason why the Charlotte boosters feel the need to "put Raleigh in it's place." It might have to do with their major inferiority complex and out of control insecurities.

Damn it really is just crazy to see a tower of that caliber in North Hills. I absolutely love it, I just still struggle to comprehend the transition that that site has undergone in the past ~20 years. I drive past it twice a day, too...so interesting to watch it in all its phases of development. I WISH we could get some towers like The Walter on the other side of I-440 as well.

I love what Kane has done at North Hills and Midtown North Hills.   Was here today to meet up with someone from eastern NC.   Can't wait to see the new office and apartment tower on the original North Hills side.   The Walter looks great on the other side!   This is the most dense suburban project between the DC area and Atlanta.  Nothing comes close in the Carolinas.  Lots of photos as I am tourist too from the QC but frequent visitor to our capital city and most populous county Wake.

Hey, I too am in the QC & RDU twice weekly, and keep my finger on the pulse of both, with many clients to see in both uptown, SouthEnd, d.town Raleigh, NH, & throughout RTP. Much construction in both metros, and North Hills definitely tops all for activity & density. But if you blink on any of these area’s you are bound to miss something. Thanks for the pics!!!

The Christmas tree lighting at NH this weekend.

Looking at the pipeline for North Hills/Midtown projects, Midtown may out produce Downtown Raleigh for mid-rising towers in the next few years. However these newer towers will be closer to downtown so the skylines will merge eventually? Really looking at a mini-Atlanta situation especially since Kane has a few 30/40 story towers planned in North Hills.

Looks more like Charlotte than Atlanta, GA.
