Sorry to disappoint you but Charlotte does not have an area similar to North Hills.

North Hills does resemble a smaller scale Buckhead in Atlanta.

Disappoint me?  Big ego you got there.

I was thinking of South End which is not technically part of the CBD.

when did the Walter become the Eastern?   I actually liked the Walter name given the history and all.

The Eastern - Kane Realty Corporation

Walter was a bit of a scoundrel by modern standards. Perhaps that’s the reason for the name change?

drive through North Hills and Midtown today.  The Walter, the Eastern whatever it is called looks good.   Soil testing and or compaction over at the JC Penney site where towers will rise.

I still want to know why they ditched The Walter name.   and if the answer Sir Walter Raleigh was a scoundrel then I petition the city of Raleigh to change their name to East Cary.

Snapped this pic of the NH skyline from Wake Forest @ St. Albans a few nights ago. Also, the 20 story tower that's under construction is finally peeking out with visibility from 440 as far back as the Wake Forest Rd on-ramp. I'll try to snap a shot of that tomorrow on my way to work if I remember.

That list of unit amenities sounds very  impressive. Floor-to-ceiling windows,  frameless glass shower doors, blackout shades...i'm sure the price tag for these units are on the upper upper end for this market. These almost sound more like condos than rental apartments.
