Ouch! 205K is waaaay high for those houses. I'd say 175K would be more realistic.

I guess he put in a little margin for negotiation.

My wife and I were out there this weekend. I think one house has been sold. She echoed my sentiment that they were priced too high. I bought the brochures to the office and my co-workers agreed as well.

They were trying to sell the model home, and the agent was like, "Make an offer, any offer."

BTW, I think the one we saw that was sold was the lowest priced plan.

Sales don't seem to be going so well. They are still asking @$205K for units that have been on the market @450 days. I guess since CHA is behind it, there is no incentive to drop the prices (which I still think are way too high for the location and square footage).

Rosewood Hills has been named Green Project of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders' Green Building subcommittee. A spokesman for the organization said it is a great example of green building done right while being affordable.

I drove through this place a few months ago. It looks nice, but the roads are really confusing. It's like they used a european marking system. The white dashed centerline is very confusing.

I drove by Rosewood Hills this afternoon, and noticed that the starting prices had been lowered to $150K-$170K. I wonder how the sales are looking; it seemed like a ghost town. However, that could have been b/c I was driving by in the middle of the day.
