Here are photos that me and Dave took last spring of East Nashville. East Nash isn't due east, its the east banks of the cumberland river which is more northeasterly of downtown.

East Nashville was part of Nashville's first series of trolley suburbs that were built in the late 1800's and early 1900's. A huge fire in the 30's required a lot of the area to be torn down and rebuilt.

So here are the photos of this historic area. Some of the homes go for several hundred thousand now that its been rennovated.

I agree, East Nashville is one of the best neighborhoods, and the poverty surrounding the rennovated areas is turning around. Its all around very good for the city.

I remember those pics. Very nice indeed. Looks like my drive to and from work everyday. Miss the leaves right now though.

We have some home like that in downtown Franklin on West Main Street. I pass them going to and from school everyday. They are absolutely beautiful during the spring when all the trees have their leaves and the flowers are in bloom. I might be able to get some pictures of them for y'all.

Yes, you do Cheerio. I was in Franklin last weekend near town thinking exactly the same thing. Please do, take some pics in a few weeks when everything is blooming.

I'll try and get some pictures, that would be easy. I'm just not quite sure how to get them on the computer. If one of you could maybe explain the process that would be wonderful.

Awesome pictures of East Nashville. Do you have any pictures of the Belle Meade area? I really like it up in there and haven't seen it in a while. So, if you do, can you post them please?

Great pics. How large is this neighborhood? Does it have any main urban oriented commercial streets?

The area is kinda small -- Most of the homes burned down in the early 20th century (correct me if I'm wrong, Dave).
