Ex-Lion Robert Porcher, leader of a group of ten entrepreneurs, has purchased the 12 story Vinton Building from the city for $500,000. The group intends to renovate the building into lofts and office space, with a men's clothing store on the first floor. The development's details are expected to be finalized in May, with construction begining soon after.

Great news. I like the fact that a lot of the proposed developments are taking place on Woodward. I think the revitalization efforts will go faster by bringing the heart of downtown back swiftly and then letting redevelopment grow outward, then having a lot of development plans scattered all around downtown.
