I know that there was a post or a thread about this along time ago, but I can't seem to recall its location. Maybe I just read it in the paper. Anywho- the makeover, as I understand it, is of town hall. Hence the title of the show: Town Haul.

This is a series of six shows about Laurens. They are going now, so if you missed some, there are a few more left. Here is what they are going to "haul" -

Little River Park: Few towns in the South have the luxury of a "river running through it." This public park is sorely underused because many town residents feel its poor lighting make it unsafe. Town Haul's landscape designer William Moss envisions a lush space with a massive state-of-the-art playground complete with a miniature golf course and plenty of green space for socializing.

Little River Amphitheater: This is a major undertaking for new contractor Patrick Brown and the Town Haul team as they attempt to create an outside open-air amphitheater where Laurens residents can showcase all of their talent. Can the team pull off the build before a popular musical act arrives in Laurens to christen the brand new addition?

Foggie's Barber Shop: A fixture in the community for over 40 years, Willie Foggie and his barbershop have been quietly overlooked as an integral part of the community. Located just behind the main square, Foggie's Barbershop is a bare-bones establishment that is in dire need of major structural upgrades.

Firewater Cafe (aka Three Star Club): Just off the main square lies a makeshift teen center created by two big-hearted town residents who wanted to keep the kids off the street. The building is run down and the town teens still complain that there is nothing to do. Genevieve and her team give it all they've got to restore this building and bring together the younger generation in Laurens to volunteer.

Farmer's Market: When exchanging ideas about increasing commerce in the town square, few agree on the same course of action. Lifelong Laurens residents want to preserve and restore the town square to its former glory, while newcomers want to create new sources of revenue. And the outspoken owner has plenty to say. Will the Town Haul crew make the market open for business?

Backstreet: Formerly the economic and cultural hub of the African American community, Backstreet has fallen on hard times. The last remaining structure, The Franklin Building, had its wrought iron deck destroyed when a large truck attempted to pass through the alley and ripped it down. With the renovation of this building, the adjoining greenspace and old antique ghost mural, it's critical to take care of this important part of the town's history.
