At least the Mint has retail in the back, The Taproom Social, which works for that area near the ballpark.  Although a nice complex, The Circa is what irks me with zero retail being in such a prime location (I won't mention my thoughts on the Element...).  This 500 WT project is decent, glad there's retail facing the streetcar...reminds me of a variation of a shorter Uptown 550.

I love the angle of that last picture. The one thing i love about this projects, and some of the other mid-rises going up in Uptown is the large amounts of people it will bring to live in the area. Which in turn should bring more restaurants and nightlife, much like SouthEnd. There are what, close to 1000 apartments being built in Uptown right now? That's a lot of new people.
