Another great victory for downtown. The seven building were UGLY. your typical 1960's mentality of covering the entire facade in aluminum (with no windows on the upper floors) was employed here. They have returned the facades to their former glory. The 8th building is a nice art deco bank building. I'm sure something cool will be done with it...

I agree with Joe. This is a great victory for downtown GR. Monroe Center is becoming lively. I remember only just a few years ago when most of it was an eye sore. Thank goodness GR decided to take out the pedestrian walk several years ago and put a street back down it.
