I think for small children, there is a definite need for running around outside. Nothing is better for this than a yard or common grassy area very close by, IMO.

Are the Vue developers incorporating any kind of playgrounds, mini parks, or courtyards for "some" families? Or, is there target primarily young adults and baby boomers?

Fourth Ward Park is just across the street and the new Third Ward Park will be just a few blocks away. The building is strategically placed in that fourth ward neighborhood not only for the views of the sky line but also for that neighborhood feel.

as much as we all love renderings... does the vue really need any more? maybe they are generating some with added floors. in that case i understand. also, i would like to see some skyline shots with the vue @ proposed height... to give us an acurate perspective on scale.
