Charlotte Auto Dealerships

There's a Maybach dealership at Beck Mercedes. Actually, DaimlerChrysler refers to them as "studios". There's also one in Cary and somewhere else... High Point maybe. You can find them on the Maybach website. The Maybach studio at Beck's been there for a couple of years. No need to go to Atlanta to find a tarted-up $300K S-Class. Also, I don't think that anyone's brought up the Maserati/Aston Martin dealership that's across Independence from Beck. Its the second dealership of Foreign Cars Italia (even though Aston is ...well was... British) of Greensboro. They opened that here since roughly half of their clientele at the G'boro dealership was from Charlotte. I believe you can also purchase a Ferrari there, although the prancing horse logo isn't displayed outside.

Hendrick is proposing an extension to McKee Road to improve access to their Automall in southeast Mecklenburg and CPCC's Levine Campus.

The article mentions that the automall will begin construction in 3 years. The McKee Road extension will also help pave the way for converting US74 to a toll road south of 485.

There is some mention on it in other threads here, like:

A new US 74 freeway bypass in Union County is being studied, considering the horrendous traffic on the current 74 boulevard bypass. The state approved it as one of the handful of projects that might be funded through tolls.

If the study resolves that tolls aren't enough to pay for the road, NCDOT will determine whether they will fund it partially or fully through traditional means, or to cancel the project.

Does anyone know when the autopark in North Charlotte/Huntersville border is suppose to open and what dealerships (hopefully Mercedes/BMW) will be there? I can't find anything about it on the web...

Scroll down to "Matthews Auto Center".

Construction of the auto mall likely would start in about three years

As far as which dealerships will be there, you should pretty much assume that all the dealerships with a "Hendrick" prefix will be located there. Bimmer, yes, Benz, no.
