Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is a city with ca. 430.000,- inhabittants, living in a city itself, however each day coming another ca.140.000 inh. as well as cca. 60.000, students to the city . Bratislava is a historical town with more than two-thousand-year old rich history. On the other hand, it still ranks among the youngest cities of Europe that is just gradually discovered by visitors. One day in December I drove through the streets of this capital to make some photos, also used the possibillity to make the panoramatic shots from STV tower.

Later on I will add the photos from the centre as well.

I've heard very good things about Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The topography around Bratislava reminds me in the Ozarks here in northwest Arkansas. I hope that Fayetteville will keep growing and eventually have development so that it looks a little more like Bratislava.

Very nice and thanks for posting. That is an interesing vantage point from the top of that bridge. Is it possible for the public to go up there?

Yes, there is a restaurant at this vantage point. It was recently reconstructed and reopened to the public in Spring this year. The restaurant itself is a glass-steel structure and from this point is viewable all surroundings of the city. The new name is UFO, because of the strange shape of the restaurant, some people like it, some not.
