Being born and raised here in Alaska City, its only normal that I know the spots and hidden treasures of cheap grit this city holds. You have to know the place well, once you know where to go and where to look, you get the bargain.

remind me of this place so I can avoid Toys R Us this christmas..

Ok, now post the nice photos ! I was there last June and although not the cosmopolitan city we are used to in the lower 48, there are some really beautiful areas. I had many good meals too. The museum is nicer than the loser museum we have in Tampa too. The 22 hours of daylight was weird though !

Those are some rather bleak photos you got there. I'm sure Anchorage looks more appealing during the summer. I still want to go.
