I went to Fun Spot for the first time last year.  I've lived here a long time and never considered going until we took some of my wife's young relatives.

I had a lot of fun.  It was simple and cheesy, but it was still enjoyable.

I had the best time I've ever had at a themed attraction in September of last year in Weston-super-Mare near Bristol in the UK: http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2015/08/dismaland/.  It was intended as a p**s-take on amusement parks with a modern art bent from the famous Banksy, but for me, it wound up being outrageous fun.  Banksy staged it to inject some life into a decaying English seaside resort; I couldn't help but think that Orlando could use a few "attractions" like this; lots of cheeky humour through political and culture satire.  It sounds like hipster hell on paper, but it strangely worked as a night out for adults. Why hasn't an enterprising attaction developer engaged clever multimedia artists yet to draw people who typically hate on Orlando? #outofthebox

Was the filming set from The Cafe still there?

Wow, this is really surprising. We already have 2 high-speed indoor karting places in that area, one of which is right next to the location they are targeting...I-Drive Nascar, which also uses the latest generation Sodikarts. It looks almost identical to Andretti Speed Lab in Atlanta where I used to go. Racing, arcade, food, and drinks in an upscale environment.

The other one is by Florida Mall, K1 Speed. This one looks like a less upscale type of venue, but the karts are even faster at 45 mph.

I'm skeptical.  This area looks like it's in Osceola County, and Osceola County has never really been able to pull this kind of thing off

That shot of Vocano Bay in the Downtown Development Discussion thread should go here.

On that note, I really like how Universal added parking decks to Cabana Bay Resort and the new Sapphire Falls Resort.  They may have added a deck to Royal Pacific. There's a deck at Portofino already.  I don't think Hard Rock has one.  And they added the employee deck as well and are adding onto it.  And the skywalk to Cabana Bay connecting it to the sidewalk/ canal corridor.

Disney has done a masterful job with Disney Springs ala the parking decks, dedicated bus lanes, new bus terminal, skywalks, etc.  Bravo.

Universal filed for a new 600 rooms resort/hotel. With all these rooms, are there a new park coming?

Yes, all signs point to it being a Nintendo theme park.

They're also rapidly trying to create new land in their existing block. I think they just permitted another employee parking garage in the back. Hopefully they start the new park sooner then later, but they seem very focused on building out the existing land to full capacity first. Which really won't take them too long regardless...
