Pics of the Wellsley in College Park

Hey does this look bad, or is it just me? That cultured stone looks kind of crappy.

The stone looks too dark/cold for the rest of the building. Also, that setback of the second floor is a little funky/anti-urban. But, it's hard to complain about buildings like this - still a huge plus and push in a new direction for College Park.

I like the stonework. I think it's better than bland columns. What I think looks really bad is the rust stains coming off the second floor and running down the walls and the place isn't even open yet.

When's the next one going up over there?

Yeah I like it on the columns, but not the front of the building. Looks like a face to me.

I dunno, they are talking about one between Smith and Princeton, right next to the Wellsley but it may be a while. They had to revise their plans a little.

Here are a couple of small images of the new Trevi building, which is one of the projects about to begin in Maitland along 17-92. This one is located on the west side of 17-92, a block or so south of the Maitland Blvd. overpass - directly across the street from where the Mercedes dealership is.

59 condos, $440k - $1.7MM.

Not too exciting, but nonetheless a big improvement over what exists there now.

even though i despise the fact that walmart is setting up shop on turkey lake road near big sand lake........ does anyone have any info on what other stores/restaurants are going in that plaza?

All I can tell at this time is the Wal-Mart....there is a sign for Whole Foods up the street. Turkey Lake was such a nice wide quiet road with very little traffic. Couldn't leave it that way, could they?? :(

Except for the Sandlake and Turkey Lake intersections between 16:30-18:00, that's when it is really bad. Now add the Wal-Mart factor. Greeeeeeat...

Maitland Center:

FYI, I didn't realize it, but EA has hung their shield on the bldg. next to Charles Schwaab.

Also, Staples office products took over the EDS bldg. across the street.

I saw that a couple of months ago, but wasn't sure if that was new or not (since I haven't driven to that area in a couple of years).

EA has been in the building next to Charles Schwaab for a few years now, I'd say at least three. Staples has been there for about six months or more.

Next time you drive by RDV go behind it. There's a four story parking garge finishing up for a high end four or so story condo project. Prices are $400,000 to $1,000,000 I think.
