Hizzoner Buddy Dyer was on Central Florida Spotlight with Greg War moth again yesterday.

In case anyone missed it, he covered a wide variety of subjects beginning with CV and what's coming next, Parramore and affordable housing, Sunrail planned expansions and tie in with Brightline, planned improvements at Camping World, fire dept leadership and the possibility of getting a baseball team.

Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe in Beautiful Downtown Sanford, arguably the best German restaurant in the region, is adding a rooftop Biergarten boosting the occupancy to 500 seats.

Meanwhile, we’re getting a DGX in Downtown Orlando. Gen. Sanford may get the last laugh after all...

Horizon West, Orange County’s fastest growing area, is bursting at the seams and stressing out the area’s schools and infrastructure.

I had to chuckle. One of our posters kept telling us how worthless the theme parks are and only the transients are interested.

It seems proximity to WDW is one of Horizon West’s biggest features and the average house is 400K+. Certainly less than say, Windermere, but still a chunk of change.

The City purchased back the venue from Orlando Philharmonic and is planning to do $10 of renovations to the property and   facade including   a new exterior plaza with an indoor outdoor bar, new signage and facade updates, new HVAC , seating and finishes inside and new Roof.

With the city buying it, they can use tourist tax dollars to fund the updates. They will then lease back the space to Orlando Philharmonic for $1 a year so that Orlando Philharmonic can continue to utilize and maintain the space and events, freeing them up for more flexibility financially.  Construction is a way out, expected to start in 2021.
