I'd guess 99 is right - if you look at gateway you can see it's just a big patch of dirt.

I took this photo in the 1980s from a moving car with a cheap camera.  I've got one from 1979 that I took from Freedom Drive, but I have to find it and scan it in.

Does anyone have any old photos of Charlotte before they plowed over everything? I am curious as to see what used to stand above all those parking lots. When I look at photos from other Southern cities, I can only imagine how much denser and larger Charlotte would look today if they didn't tear down everything.
