The Giant Lofts

426 Marietta Street, Atlanta, Georgia

Built in 1923, this 100,000 square foot building was the former Westinghouse regional headquarters. Recently, its only use was for records storage and its large, factory windows had been entirely covered.

Beneath that shell, was the original building which was converted into 47 loft apartments and 12,000 square feet of office space that was pre-leased to an established advertising firm, relocating from midtown Atlanta. The Giant was completed in 1997.

This project won an Award for Adaptive Use from the City Of Atlanta Urban Design Commission, as well as a Certificate of Merit in Rehabilitation from The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. The property is listed on The National Register of Historic Places.
