From an urban design standpoint it did turn out nice...too bad it is only 2 blocks long...and too bad the back side of the parking decks are plain ugly. From an architecture standpoint it has a very "Atlanta" feel to it...nothing Charlotte about it.

I agree 100% with UL......from the interior, it is one of the better faux-urban projects, but the architecture leaves much to be desired.

Plans for a 170 foot tall office tower as part of a second phase of Piedmont Town Center have officially been canceled. Due to much protest against it and the city council denying their rezoning petition, Crescent withdrew their petition. They are now supposedly going to try it again and switch back to their original plan for a residential project.
