Anyone know why the second level on the left side of the fountain is never on anymore? It was on when they first hooked it up, and it really helped tie everything together.

Evan clued us in about a leak that they were trying to troubleshoot/resolve on that side of the fountain a couple of weeks ago. My guess is that they've not got it isolated yet.

Yeah. It is really hard to tell with these kinds of things. It really just depends on how much they want to hustle and push it. Im hoping that it is sooner than later, when the rest of the buildings start popping up. I think it would have been better if the rest of them could have been built, because now you have the parking lots they put in place and those will probably have to all be taken up when building starts. I know its no big deal tearing up a parking lot with heavy equipment though.

Here are a few photos of progress on phase II of RiverPlace - The Terrace is the building shown under construction.

Here is a shot of the skyline from deep in the West End. (Please excuse the trees in the foreground) You can see the rooftops of the RiverPlace buildings and how little impact the eight story structures have made overall. I love the density though.:)

There has been a lot of talk on here about a movie theater in the third phase of River Place, some even desiring an IMAX. but with Charleston's IMAX most likely closing, do you think Greenville could keep one afloat?

If one were to make it, the Riverwalk and Camperdown Way would need to be hopping with activity. The Riverwalk would need to be lively with resturants and retail, and Camperdown would need to be built up with resturants, retail, and residential.

Charleston's was such a touristy thing that maybe that's what hurt it, but would Greenville's really attract the locals who might be going to Cherrydale, Hollywood, or Camelot??? Just wondering what you guys thought.

I hadn't heard that the Chas. one wasn't doing well, but I could have missed that. These usually go in tourist destinations, so it's hard to see it working locally. A multiplex would probably work much better.
