Well, it's a bell short of a carillon, so we'll just have to call it a chime. :whistling: It'll be a nice addition to the development, none-the-less.

Oh, that's right. :whistling: I'm excited about this. Hopefully somehow it will play music (maybe?). I love listening to Clemson's bells. How I wish I knew how to read music so I could take the class...

Mentioning the carillon, does anyone know whats going on with the fountain, specifically the "train" portion? I know it's been cold, so obviously for reasons of ice, the train tunnel part has been off, but overall, this whole train tunnel section just doesn't seem up to the quality level of Riverplace. There are handmade signs asking people not to play in it. IMO, Riverplace would do well to rethink and redevelop this small "train" portion of the fountain.

i've never been a fan of the tunnel and train tracks, i think it dumbs down and cheapens the whole fountain......i mean you don't have to do all that to make kids play in it. If you have water shooting out of the side walk, kids will play in it no matter if you paint crap on the ground or not so why do it and ruin the whole feel of the area?

Do you remember my signature that used to say "to understand Greenville's vision, you have to stop any logical thoughts?" Well, this is one of those situations.

So , is this 30 story tower just a figment of our imaginations or is it something that could possibly happen? I also agree anywhere downtown would be nice. With the landmark building being visible from the Anderson County line on 85 just think how a 30 story building would look. We would have 2 buildings visible from the interstate.
