The Embassy Suites building will be 10 levels (as viewed from across the river), which will likely make it taller than the other RiverPlace buildings.

It's going to have quite the presence on River Street.

Reedy Square is suppose to start up in January across the road.

Really? Source?  I haven't heard anything on this is a long while. I was thinking it might be cancelled and the funds used instead for the proposed convention facility.  That was just conjecture on my part, but does make some sense.

Brasfield and Gorrie is using the grey building on site for their construction office with the Embassy Suites project so I highly doubt Reedy Square is going to be start construction anytime soon.

Riverplace's website has a Phase III tab now. All it says is "coming soon." I assume we will see it updated when they release their plans for the condo and office buildings around Embassy Suites? It makes me think that we may see those plans sooner rather than later.

The DRB gave an informal review of the Condo building in Decemer. Hopefully we will see a formal submittal soon.

I think it a nice deviation from the amount of brick at Riverplace. I don't love the hotel base, and how it breaks up the current rhythm along the river walk, but that ship has sailed.

I think this will be a nice addition, and the massing should be appropriate. Hopefully there will be a nice lighting scheme.

Has anyone mentioned yet the missed opportunity for using the Embassy Suites hotel roof (the lower one over street level retail) as public space or a courtyard?  It would have a perfect view over the river, skyline and Peace Center.  Seems like a no-brainer to put something there the way it is laid out in the renderings (the light yellow area inside the U-shape of the hotel) in the third image found on the above link for the condos and hotel. Maybe there is going to be something there, I dont remember seeing the hotel plans anywhere but I am getting old. :-)
