I don't understand Frontier. They originally came in and offered non-stops to Las Vegas and Denver which was great. Needed western destinations. Now they are offering non-stops to Orlando which several others offer.  :dontknow:

No other airline at GSP offers nonstop direct flights to Orlando International Airport.

20 years is a long time. What are the doing closer to the present? Lol

Here is the implementation plan in phases from now through 20+ years away and what is planned in each of those phases:

https://www.gspairport.com/site/user/files/71/07_Implementation_Final.pdf 29 pages instead of 1,021. Lol. Here are the different phases:

• Phase I: (0 to 5 years), 2019-2023
• Phase II: (6 to 10 years), 2024-2028
• Phase III: (11 to 20 years), 2029-2038
• Phase IV: Beyond 2038 or as demand materializes.

First routes to be in eastern US, mostly North -South.

Hope that means GSP lands them. I know for a fact GSP’s air service development team is in negotiations with Breeze to start service here also.

I imagine passenger numbers for March and maybe even February at GSP will look pretty dismal due to the Coronavirus. Of course every airport in the world will probably have bad numbers so we won’t be alone.

Just saw one of the new British Airways 787-10 flying out of GSP.   I think all 787 production is out of Charleston.   The article mentions the first flight to Atlanta will be today.   Not sure the reasoning behind this route though.   I will only look at this as a signal of positive things to come!

Alot of Dreamliners fly up to GSP and do touch and gos during test flying from CHS.  Planes aren't always painted though.  Was cool to see one all decked out in BA livery today!

After reading the news articles about airlines cutting capacity over the 24 hours...yeah all of the airports and airlines are pretty much screwed. Passenger numbers are going to be wayyyy down from last year.

There's rumors all over the internet that the government is preparing for and planning a domestic travel ban within the next 48-72 hours.

I kept getting these texts from various sources about the national quarantine. It seemed a little fishy to me with how many copy/paste messages I got, so I googled it. The news reports are saying that it's a hoax.

National quarantine would be different than a domestic travel ban. Quarantine would be more excessive, but SF has already enacted one and other major cities are likely not far behind. Massachusetts is talking about doing a state wide one pretty soon.

A domestic travel ban is really the next logical step and should've been enacted at least a week ago.
