I got a drone this week and decided to try it out along the Hague. Here you can see Fort Norfolk's progress.

Beautiful Drone video of Downtown Norfolk at night. The city looks big at night.

Fireworks reflecting off of the Hilton at Harborfest tonight.

That's a part of downtown rarely seen, but it really is a nice view of the city, esp. if you can see it from the top of the MacArthur parking deck.

Hopefully the buildings on the right of the photo will be knocked down and that site redeveloped with a building that faces the square.

Not sure of the building on the right in the foreground, but the ones behind it are the Slover Library, and the will rightly be staying.

That’s Novel Coworking & the Virginia Maritime Building is behind it across from Slover. Nearly every building surrounding MacArthur Square has been renovated in recent years. Don’t think much will be changing in this picture for awhile.

There is no demand now or into the immediate future for Class A high rise office expansion into the Saint Paul’s quadrant. Heck, we can’t even get a new skyscraper built in downtown proper.

You have to grow the economy first. Job growth is pathetic here. If this was Raleigh, you might have a point. Alas, we are not Raleigh.

One more from later in the evening. I love that the energy is back downtown, and it felt like I was in another city. Cars backed up on Granby, people on scooters, it was great.

Driving down the VB strip last night, it felt great to see street activity in Hampton Roads again. It really didn’t seem like the HR of old.

yeah, but about that surface lot right in front........

That's the health department lot. It is slated for development in the future, perhaps even as another extension of the retirement community.
